Comprehensive Eye Exams
The world of eye care is ever growing and evolving, and we’re not just talking about visual acuity. A comprehensive eye exam is very different from a routine eye exam. Because, in addition to checking for refractive eye errors, Dr. Du will also evaluate the overall health of your eyes by screening you for common eye diseases, assess how well your eyes work together and evaluate the health of your Retina, Optic Nerve, and Retinal Blood Diseases.
Contact Lens Exams
For new and existing contact lens wearers, you need a contact lens exam in addition to a comprehensive eye exam. Dr. Du will perform special tests during a contact lens exam to evaluate your vision with contacts. Fitting contact lenses is both a science and art that requires expertise. The first test will measure your eye surface to determine what size and type of contacts are best for you. Second, is a corneal evaluation which is a detailed examination of the cornea of the eye. It is done once a year for patients who wear contacts to make sure the eye is getting the proper amount of oxygen.
Ocular Diseases: Treatment and Management
Dr. Du will examine your eyes thoroughly to diagnose, treat, and manage your eye diseases. Early detection of vision problems is important because most ocular diseases can be undetected.
Most common eye diseases are Blurry Vision, Cataracts, Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, and Diabetic Retinopathy.

Lasik Co-Management
The combined care of Dr. Du and the LASIK Surgeon will ensure you achieve the best care and vision. Information will be provided for you to make your decision. Once you have decided to have LASIK eye surgery, a referral will be given to an eye surgeon for consultation, free of charge. Dr. Du will then provide the pre and post operative care while the LASIK surgeon performs the surgery.

What is Myopia? A common condition that involves nearsightedness ( Difficulty seeing far ).
Distance Objects appear blurry and if not addressed can become worse as your child gets older. Initial treatment of myopia can start from the ages of 8 - 12 years old.
Common issues of myopia are high myopia and degenerative myopia. Your eyeball gets longer which can increase chances of having an abnormally high prescription, detached retina, abnormal blood vessel growth, cataracts, and glaucoma.
